DTF printing: full colour on any fabric

With DTF (Direct to Film), the design is printed onto a special film first and then heat-pressed onto the fabric. Any colour, gradient or fine detail comes out exactly.

There are no screens to make, so DTF suits small runs and orders where every piece needs a different name or number.

Best for

  • Multi-colour logos, photos, gradients
  • Small and medium runs
  • Individual names and numbers
  • Cotton, polyester, blends

Less suited to

  • Large runs of a one-colour logo: screen printing is cheaper

Frequently asked questions

DTF or screen printing: which should I choose?

If your logo has many colours or gradients, or the run is small, choose DTF. For a one- or two-colour logo on a large run, screen printing is cheaper.

Does a DTF print survive washing?

Yes. With proper care (inside out, up to [XX]°C) the print doesn't crack and keeps its colour.
